First of all, I am a big fan of ted.com. Many of the lectures are only about 5 minutes long, while others are typically around 20. Its a great resource for learning a little bit about a lot of things.
Anyways, this lecture is relevant to the course in that it addresses many of the issues that we brought up last week, namely: "walkability", housing, mobility (both auto and pedestrian) and investigates these issues in a way that stresses the importance of people as critical to the success of a city and the way in which it works. I'm going to continue searching for more resources on ted.com; many do not require to watch, but only listen, so its a great multitasking resource while you work on studio...
